Here’s a simple guide on how StudSide works for both buyers and sellers.
1. About StudSide
StudSide is an online marketplace where users can buy and sell leather and faux leather items, including jackets, vests, bags, footwear, and accessories.
The platform is powered by Tradly, which provides hosting and technical infrastructure.
All payments and payouts are securely processed through Stripe.
StudSide acts as a neutral venue — we do not own or sell products ourselves.
All transactions take place directly between buyers and sellers.
2. For Buyers
🛍️ How to Buy
Browse Products
Explore categories like Jackets, Bags, Footwear, and more.
Use search, filters, or view featured listings to find what you like.
Add to Cart & Checkout
Once you’ve found an item you want, add it to your cart and proceed to checkout.
Payment
Payments are securely processed through Stripe. Your payment information is encrypted and never stored on StudSide.
Order Confirmation
After successful payment, you’ll receive an order confirmation email.
The seller will then prepare and ship your item.
Delivery & Feedback
When your order arrives, you can rate the product or contact the seller directly with questions.
3. For Sellers
💼 How to Start Selling
Create an Account
Sign up on StudSide (must be 18 years or older). Verify your email address to activate your account.
List Your Products
Upload photos, set a price, and describe your product clearly.
Be transparent about material type — specify genuine leather or faux/synthetic leather.
Manage Your Listings
Edit, update, or remove items at any time through your dashboard.
Sold items are automatically marked as SOLD once purchased.
4. Getting Paid (Sellers)
To receive payments from your sales, you must connect your StudSide account to Stripe.
This ensures fast and secure payouts directly to your bank account.
🔗 How to Connect
Go to the menu bar on your StudSide dashboard.
Click “Payments”.
Click the “Connect with Stripe” button.
You’ll be redirected to Stripe to complete the setup and verify your identity.
We recommend creating a new Stripe Connect account through this button for smooth linking.
Once verified, return to StudSide — your Stripe account will show as connected, and you’ll automatically receive payouts from future sales.
💡 Note:
Stripe may ask for basic business or personal information to verify your account.
This step helps protect both buyers and sellers and is required before payouts can be made.
5. Fees and Payouts
StudSide fee: 7% per completed sale
Stripe fee: approximately 2.9% + USD $0.30 per transaction (varies by region)
These fees are automatically deducted from the sale total before your payout.
You’ll receive your remaining balance directly to your connected Stripe account.
Example:
If your item sells for $100 USD:
→ StudSide fee: $7
→ Stripe fee: $3.20 (approx.)
✅ You receive: $89.80 USD
6. Safety and Responsibility
Only transact within the StudSide platform. Do not send or accept payment outside the site — this violates our Terms and removes protection.
Always describe items honestly and accurately.
StudSide and Tradly do not mediate or guarantee transactions but may assist if issues arise.
Buyers and sellers should communicate clearly and respectfully.
